I’m Jef Taylor — an award-winning editor, producer, and filmmaker with over two decades of experience shaping video and audio that move people. My work spans narrative film, branded campaigns, political media, and podcasts, unified by a focus on rhythm, timing, and tone — whether that means landing an emotional beat or a perfectly timed laugh.

I spent four and a half years with The Lincoln Project, first as a rapid-response video editor, creating more than 300 pieces that helped define the organization’s voice across social platforms, many of which reached millions of viewers. Later, I became the editor and producer of The Lincoln Project Podcast, including an episode that earned a 2025 Webby People’s Voice Award.

Before that, I led branded campaigns for Hollister, Gilly Hicks, and Social Tourist, directed influencer content, and freelanced for clients like The ACLU, The New York Times, and Vogue.

My narrative work includes short films that have screened at Sundance, São Paulo, and Nashville, including After You Left, which premiered at Sundance. I also created the original series ADULTS, which I wrote, directed, edited, and acted in.

I’m also the creator and host of onefjef, a podcast about creativity, travel, and what drives people to make things. The show blends curiosity, humor, and introspection through long-form conversations with artists, travelers, and thinkers.

I’m currently open to new collaborations in video editing, podcast production, and story-driven content — especially projects that blend authenticity, personality, and a strong point of view.
